International Game Fish Association Offshore Championship Tournament

Formerly held in Hawaii, includes winners of 130 qualifying events. Professional crews catch-and-release striped marlin, tuna, wahoo and other big billfish.
The five-day World Championship Billfish Release Tournament promotes the use of circle hooks and releasing the fish alive, and has billfish conservation as its driving force. Monetary prizes awarded throughout the tournament are quite large, including a USD$1 million prize for catching a previously tagged billfish.
Teams compete for a hefty purse or a deluxe super-panga as they head out in search of the largest dorado.

A dramatic shotgun start kicks off this fishing tournament featuring big cash prizes. Anglers from all over the world converge on Los Cabos to compete for record marlin.
And exciting big-game sportfishing competition, a celebrity golf tournament and an all-star concert. Tournament boats leave from either the Cabo San Lucas Marina or the Puerto Los Cabos Marina. Divisions include "Heaviest Black or Blue Marlin over 300 lbs" and "Heaviest Gamefish."
